An effective Environmental Management System (EMS) audit provides confidence that an organization is managing its environmental responsibilities in a structured, credible and forward-looking way. It supports not only conformity with ISO 14001:2026, but also the organization’s ability to respond to its context, changing environmental conditions and evolving stakeholder expectations.
This practical 2-day course develops the competence and confidence required to plan, conduct, report and follow up internal audits of an EMS. Through case studies and interactive exercises, participants will assess conformity, implementation and effectiveness, while exploring key concepts such as life cycle thinking, management of change and performance improvement.
By the end of the course, delegates will be able to initiate and prepare audits, conduct audit activities, report findings clearly and support corrective action and continual improvement in line with ISO 14001:2026.

Assessment
Each course is followed by a mandatory online multiple-choice examination. Delegates must pass the examination to be awarded the qualification - BSI Mark of Trust.

You should have a good knowledge of ISO 14001:2026 and the key principles of an EMS. If not, we strongly recommend you attend our ISO 14001:2026 Requirements course.
